Fibercom owns and maintains a fleet of specialised vehicles and mechanical aids. A fleet of specifically fitted out vans are provided for all fibre splicing and copper cable jointing and testing projects.
Our winch
vehicles have calibrated fibre optic hauling winches. In addition to the
winches, our self-loading and motorised cable trailers are used on cable
hauling activities. Fully racked and fitted party trucks support the
cable hauling activities and self contained, stand alone vehicles are
provided for minor civil work projects. Fibercom's elevated work
platform (EWP) vehicles accommodate a full range of aerial projects and
are small and agile enough to work in areas that larger vehicles cannot
access.
Fibercom's van fleet has specialised tools for Raychem FOSC, FIST joint preparation and restoration, and fibre management during network builds and outages. This enables quicker build times for larger fibre count (eg 96 to 576) cable splicing.
Fibercom's
purpose built vehicles contain equipment racking for fibre optic and RF
broadband testing and maintenance, aerial cabling equipment bags,
ladders and pulley winch systems for overhead network construction and
testing, specialised mobile RF leakage test equipment/antennas for RF
ingress/egress and noise location, copper cable fault locating and
testing equipment.
